Would You Like to Help?

Our primary mission in Bulgaria is teaching in seminaries, bible schools and in universities (when we get the chance). We teach a biblical model of leadership and ethics which is desperately needed in virtually all of the former countries of the Soviet Union. Communism left unbelievable moral rot behind and they have had poor (or no) role models for 50 years or more.

However, we will also be doing some work among some of the poorest people in Europe; the gypsy people. They need basic necessities, including food. We hope to distribute some food while there and it occurred to us that some of you might want to help. If you do, please send a donation and we will see to it that it is used for the purchase and distribution of food to some hungry people. Make the check payable and send it to:

MTEE
2520 Professional Road, Suite C
Richmond, VA 23235-3267

Be sure and mark your check for "Leadership Initiatives Food Donation" so they will know how to apply it. Of course your donations are tax deductible.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the blog. My wife Pat and I are going to Bulgaria on a mission trip to teach leadership in a variety of venues between October 10 and November 6, 2009. This is our eleventh year to go and we generally go two or three times a year.

For the first time, we are going to do a blog. Our intention is to make daily or nearly daily entries about what we are doing and to upload pictures as well. Sometimes we may miss due to travel schedules or because we don't have a high speed internet connection or because we just wore out. But in the absence of these little annoyances, we will try to keep you up to date if you decide to follow along. We will do our best to make it interesting.

We solicit your prayers and we welcome your comments, observations and encouragement.
